How we calculate
  • Energy needed = battery size × charge difference ÷ charging efficiency
  • Charging time = grid energy needed ÷ charger power
  • The optimizer tries to fit charging into the cheap tariff window where possible
  • If not enough time is available, it recommends charging as soon as possible
